Best locations to stay in St Louis

These are my choices with Priceline:
Downtown St Louis
Westport
St Louis Airport
Forest Park Clayton
Collinsville Fairview heights
Fenton kirkwood
St Louis West - Chesterfield
Saint Charles - Saint Peters
St Louis South - Arnold
St Louis Airport West
hazelwood
O'fallon - St Charles West
St Louis Southwest

Sorry, it's my first time to St Louis and I don't have a clue where to stay other than normally the nicer areas of any city are usually west end.
Thanks for your help in advance

St. Louis airport, Forest Park Clayton, St. Louis West Chesterfield should be relatively safe.

Stay away from Westport very active LE there.

I hope you have a great visit!

If you do a lot of traveling, this site might help you save some money on hotels. It provides some idea of low winning bids from Priceline for all cities.

Maybe places to stay in St Louis should be made into a sticky.

I think it's a good idea. The question gets asked a lot.
