Kind of short notice but.....

I'm in Mobile for work this week and I've gone and seen the USS Alabama and eaten at a few of the hot spots but now I've got the next 30 hours off and I need something to do. Spring Break is in swing but i'm no spring chicken. So, where's a good spot to go sight seeing? My friends are telling me Gulf Shores or Pensacola. Sadly, my budget for this weeks activities (excluding gas, lodging, food, work pays for that) is $80. Basically I feel like a broke college kid.

What to do/see?

Go to the shio yard at Pascagoula and watch them build a ship. They used to do tours. Bellingrath Gardens if you like topiary. There's also the science museum. I think it's called the Exploreum.

And there's a dog track in Mobile and another in Ebro, FL. The one in Florida has poker with instant single table tournaments that should be in your price range.

Thanks, I hit the museum and right as I was leaving I got a taste of Alabama thunderstorm! No quality time with a provider this trip. Hopefully I'll find time in Atlanta or Phoenix next week.
