Can anyone exlain why

My question is about strippers. I assume they are in the business to make money or they wouldn't be doing what they are doing. I can't tell you how many times I have been to strip clubs with a pocket full of cash and the girls are sitting with someone who never does dances or they sit at the bar and play video games.

I always tip well on stage and always have been very polite. I do not understand why a person would come to work and not want to make money. A number of possibilities come to mind. They are there just to get drunk, the person they are sitting with is their sugar daddy or maybe they are waiting for their regular.

In any event. They are leaving a lot of cash on the table. Can anyone explain this behavior? I just don.t get it.
When gentlemen are in the strip club it is their world.. Yes it's a job and the girls have to do some socializing in order to get paid but there are days inside a 6-10 hour shift where the hustle wears you down. You're feet hurt, the distance from stage to private dance area is usually a short steeple chase if not hurdles, the shoes are not made for comfort and the hour just after happy hour but right before the party bus arrives is just long enough to get some pathetic sap with no charm and good hands to give a nice foot massage. If you think being a stripper means as soon as the door opens the cash register ching drives all that away in an instant, for some yes they robotically become as eager as you like. Usually the reply is, "ugh, I hate when the fake girl comes on like it's so obvious she's just after my money!" If it was obvious you were there to frivolously drop dollars on the first girl available you'd have no place to safely enjoy your mojito. There doesn't have to be a reason the girls aren't all WWE style to jump in your pockets and you dont need to take it personally. Theres no rule that says you cant cut in on the man with the hands. Maybe they just haven't seen your dazzling Close up smile yet.
Or it could be you wear too much cologne.
I'm with you Sinbad. I've put strippers through college...not really but you get the idea. I too have noticed that some of them just walk around without even saying hi. I used to go to TNT a lot, and there was this one lady who repeatedly passed me up. Not once did she ever stop to say hi. And it's not like I was just sitting there doing nothing. In fact I would sometimes drop $200 on several ladies in one night, in addition to a little here or there with others. And afterwards, we'd talk and I would buy the customary drinks as well. I once had such a great rapport with a lady that she refused to take my money. But yeah, I never understood it either. I once saw her sit with a guy for 20 minutes, I timed it, and she got nothing out of him.

Some ladies play the long game. $200 from one guy is better than $20 from 10 guys.

So, why do the girls where those stupid platform shoes (some call them stripper shoes). The only good reason I have heard is to keep their knuckles from dragging on the floor!

I learned that the girls sometimes don't make as much money doing this as some people think. In some of the clubs, the "managers" make them not only work just tips but they have to pay for the privilege of working there; I heard of both per dance and a percentage of income. Plus, some of the girls had to put out for free to keep their jobs.

The girls attract the guys into the club, and the club makes money off of the liquor and the admission fee. So why to they have to take a cut off of the girls too? It doesn't seem fair.

Just recently, I went to "Legs" in Knobtown (Raytown). Now, KS and MO strip clubs are pretty much the suck (b/c of state laws), but I was in the mood to spend some money, drink, and see some boobs (in no particular order). First impressions as I walk in (besides the door girl having a wonderfully large breasts), were good; the place was clean, lighting was dim but not too dim, and the girls were attractive.

I go to the bar, get a beer, and find a seat. Within a minute, one of the girls walks up and asks to sit down. Sure why not. She then made no attempt to chat me up. I attempted to make small talk but had little success. I wasn't sure about the etiquette (it didn't seem like she was going to get up and leave me) so I finished my beer and left. Maybe I was supposed to just sit there and compliment her looks while giving her money?

Oh well, maybe next time.

I don't really think that anyone can explain why... exactly.
