Allergy meds, do they affect performance?

It's a miserable time of year for those of us with allergies. I try to go as long as I can before taking OTC meds. Even though they are not supposed to make you drowsy, I still feel the effects and energy levels drop. I reached the point of misery where I had to get some relief
It seems it takes longer to get off when I am this stuff. Anyone else notice a difference?
I am talking about Allegra or similar meds, not Benadryl or the older antihistamines that really make you drowsy.
How about inhaled stuff, like Flonase?
I'm sure I am not the only one here who is suffering.
What works for you?

Yes, never take them on a day that you intend to drill. Unless you're content with DATY...
They may affect performance.
