Hobby or SO?

Having had this same dilemma at one time in my life, I chose hobby. I had a SO for many years, but like some she found the younger more to her liking. Upon reflection that was the best thing to happen both emotionally and especially financially. The hobby is so so so much cheaper with no baggage. You only pay for what you want at the time. Especially the OP's, what do y'all think?

I think most people here would agree with you, or we wouldn't be here in the first place.

I find this to be the most "honest" work and relationships I have ever had. As you said, both people know what they are there for. There is an exchange, no muss, no fuss, everyone gets what they want and leaves happy.

Feel strange about that for some reason. Writing one would be a rare thing for me. For now I choose my SO of 40+ years. Yet I do hobby once in a while, say every 6 to 18 months.

Were I to become single I'd avoid another SO arrangement—don't think I could get used to another woman for every-day living. The break-in for both of us would be really uncomfortable.

If single, I'd hobby my brains out.
