Hi there. I will be visiting St Louis in a couple weeks and would love advice on areas to stay and where to avoid.
I might decide to break up the drive and suggestions for places along the way from Oklahoma to stopover would be welcome.
Thanks for any assistance.

In St. Louis, the first piece of advice you'd probably get is avoid Westport/Maryland Heights, where LEO activity tends to be very bad. (At least, it's been that way in the past and I haven't heard anything to indicate that's stopped.)
The airport area seems to be popular. There may be some nice places downtown, though you want to make sure that free parking is an option for your guests, and some of the more swanky places do have a tendency to nickel and dime you on some of the details (like charging for 'net access as well as charging you for parking). I'll leave the natives to give you some more informed choices; my information base is a bit out of date...
But I will say to the guys in STL (and this is based on personal experience, as Lauryn and I go back a way together)... if you're not a member of the "Nothing but spinners" camp, you do want Lauryn to make a visit. She's one of my all time favorites (her travels don't get her to Memphis often enough, IMHO, but every time she gets here we wind up spending the night together), and if your tastes extend to curvier ladies she'll show you an unforgettable time.
Cheers,
