i'm here now 2/8 near airport and looking for good food. I'm into pretty much anything, but wanted a locals advice. I don't want a huge chain .. something hidden...

Julie, did you find a place to dine? In the airport area, El Jarro de Arturo is one of my favorites. Great Mexican food there. If you would like some company for lunch or dinner I would be happy to join you.

And in the Medical Center area is Lorenzoe's at intersection of Medical and Fredricksburg Road. Back in the corner behind what USED to be a little What-a-burger. Laundromat and Jalepen's restaurant in same corner.

Los Barrios is not too far away from the airport area and is a well known family restaurant off of Blanco road.
