Best Places to dine while visiting?

Omaha, I know the college games are going on this week and a lot will be crazy.... but I need a few suggestions on where to eat.

Italian
Steak House's
Japanese
or just an incredible whole in the wall place you see on the food network type of dive.

Any suggestions? Any idea's on where to avoid?

Thanks so much, I know Omaha may not be a mecca for tourism but surely there's some good eatin'
Actually, Omaha is a foodie haven. Lots more wonderful restaurants of various ethnic backgrounds and various other categories other than these. My favorites in your categories:

Italian - Lo Sole Mio (Real Italian food)
Steak - Gorat's (You will see Warren Buffet there frequently.)
Japanese - Sakura Bana (Sushi and classic Japanese)
Hole in the wall - Sgt Peffer's ( I highly recommend the Five Cheese White Pizza)

During the CWS, avoid that area. There is also better and cheaper to compel you to avoid franchises. The only category that is not good in Omaha is seafood. (Obviously... and I am picky, I was raised in New England.)

Oh.. wow.. your killing me.. 5 cheese white pizza!?

I definitely consider myself a foodie - I may have to go out more than once!

Thank you
If you are a foodie, then Omaha will "kill" you!

Old Guy, I totally great with all your choices except about seafood. Shucks Oyster Bar. And after Lo Sole Mio, Cascios.

Cascio's is excellent. Shucks is, hands down, the best seafood in Omaha. And you know seafood also.

For Japanese/Sushi I like Okinawa Sushi & Grill.

Hole in the Wall: Doozy's downtown

Steak is Omaha's specialty. Just google the top 10 and you'll probably get a better steak than anywhere in the country.
Which Italian place is the family run one that closes down for a couple weeks in the summer so the family can go on vacation. I have eaten there several times and it is awesome.

Nicola's in the old market is small but good Italian. Flat Iron is a nice place, haven't been there in quite a while. Dane's wood fired pizza out in West Omaha is good to. Brix is good for food, but having 60 bottles of wine in their fancy machine where you can taste a 1 oz sample or whole glass is fun. They also have a lot of micro beers as well.
cascio's for steak or italian
they have the best red sauce in the country
maybe the best salad dressing as well
All mentioned are great, but remember that Nebraska is know for its BEEF which means steaks. Cascios is great as it is a old Omaha original. One that everyone is forgetting is 801 Chophouse. Downtown and within walking distance. On the spendy side but excellent food and wait staff.
Italian - Malara's - best homemade spaghetti ever
Steak - The Drover - get the whiskey filet or whiskey ribeye
Hole in the wall - Buck's Bar & Grill, just west of Omaha on highway 92
Best hole-in-the-wall is DINKER'S

Don't forget Johnny's Café for Steaks

Great Beef Lasagna!
Love their meat sauce.
Neapolitan style Pizza is very good.
If you don't like Romano cheese, make sure you tell them not to put it on your pizza, otherwise they put it on automatically. I like Hamburger, pepperoni, onion, and both cheeses. (Romano and Mozzarella).

Yummy!!!
