Are We Becoming Obsolete?

Since we are capable of producing major dust ups over grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup, I was just wondering what a really controversial topic might produce around here.

As in most things, Western New York is usually behind the curve when it comes to the next big idea. I only know one local escort who just barely uses Facebook in her business. And one Niagara legend has recently come out of retirement and is now only available from an invite only blog.

Try not to get too bent out of shape about Hooker Addict’s take on hobbyists. What he says is true but maybe to a lesser degree in the upstate board than the rest of country. At least we pay lip service to being different. Hope this stimulates some conversation.
Just as in real life, there is still a wide range of tech savviness among both providers and hobbyists. Social media will catch on eventually, but some people are still computer-challenged. Even with the phone, some want text only, some no texting at all.

As for me, I am always one step behind the times, but this old dog has proven that he can still learn a new trick once in a while.
I think the article is correct in that there are more ways to get info. But I don't agree with his undervaluation of reviews...I don't know a way to find out what is really on the menu, whether pictures are real, TCB skills, etc. Too many don't provide a full menu on their own websites, so you havta try to find out, or be v direct in an e-mail, which many starting out guys are shy about.

I agree that it has become very difficult to get info on rates and services. Escorts seem to be getting gun shy because of LE concerns.

I see his posts about rehashing the same old topics, but as new people sign on they haven't been here when the discussions have went on. And that is as much for Ladies as it is Gents.

And information is shared, maybe not all in one place but reviews, emails, texts, and Pm's etc. At least the forems like this increase your sphere of contacts. And is invaluable to advoid a TOFFT, which used to be quite frequent before forems such as this one, and providing ladies screening contacts, advice and support, etc.

I am so way behind. I still prefer over a drink. Than found on a board. At a bar there is less of a history. But both much the same. Quality at bars went down as boards grew. Price and safety up a bit. I see this board like at a bar. And BP is the street. Even if some on BP is very good. You will find all of the bad there. So E.com I see as a bar on a down hill slide. Face book I see as To much in the view to folks not in the game.
"And one Niagara legend has recently come out of retirement and is now only available from an invite only blog."
And this is a lot like she came out retirement some what. Still has her black book to contact all. But only the ones she really liked or paid the best.
so as stated in the link
"the more things change the more they remain the same" is so very true.

The ad:
Board or BP its posted
street shes walking
bar, she shows up

Home work:
board read reviews ask others, watch her posts to see what she is like
street you drive around and look if safe(edit:guessing from observation)
bar ask other providers and or a buddy, watch her, who she talks to how she acts

screening and first contact:
board who you have seen
street. mmmm I don't know
bar you buy her a drink, and talk, where she may leave you to talk to others as you did.

I can go on but!!!! "the more things change the more they remain the same"
OSD
I think the article is BS!
Wouldn't be at all surprised if it was written by an LE shrink, some religious bible thumper or a bitter women adversely effected by the 'hobby'. All three of these types despise and are always attempting to undermine escorts review boards and similar 'adult review' sites. You see these types the most on sites like www.stripclubist.com where they are always sniping away at both dancers, their customers and club owners on a regular basis with various mind games. This sort of mental sniping has been going on for years.

The link may or may not be BS. If it is BS, jokacz thread, statements and "?'s" are still valid.

Try reading this post. Just not consistent with your theory:

We seem to have a tendency in this society to look for hidden meaning in the everyday. On that particular day, there was no further, deeper meaning. I fucked a hooker in a hotel room. Then I went to Ikea."
Very interesting reading and well written

I have seen one or two ladies who travel through here who use twitter and I love it. They'll post some pictures every once in a while or give more insight into their personality just like posting here. Another uses a blog pretty regularly.

Just like a lot of businesses aren't using social media to their capacity it isn't in this community either. Of course there are other concerns here with legality and tracking I would think there is a way around it with hobby emails, etc.
Thats just one guys opinion, I like this board
