hiya app

some of you may have heard of this app for your smart phone. it's basically a caller id tool that lets you not only see who's calling, but report numbers which are then stored in their database so that others can see them. the basic intent was to help control telemarketers and spammers.

i've got it on very good authority that it's also being used by hookers to report phone numbers of bad clients. it obviously could be used for the opposite purpose. there's nothing wrong with any of this, and it's to be expected. just something to be aware of as you strategize your game play.
Spoonfeed it JD. Remember your audience.

This app needs to be checked every so often to see what they have listed against your hobby number, and make modifications to the number as needed.

correct. and anytime you get a new number from someone else you can type it in and do a search on it to see if anything pops up.
I know of a young lady that was recently here in midland that used it and showed it to me when she called me by my real name by accident. The app gives the phone number of the registered owner of the cell or primary person on the bill AND THE PHYSICAL ADDRESS ALSO. I don't have a hobby phone so I freaked out.
all the more reason to get a hobby phone...

I use text free voice. Fake name, fake age and fake email address. It's perfect.

Mine shows my hobby name as saved by someone. The app uses whatever someone saves you as so don't even trust your friends
To run a check on your hobby line you will have to delete what you have it saved in your phones as to see what you have been saved as in someone's phone.

Not sure if I'm doing it right, do you just search numbers? I tried my own and nothing came up, tried the name of a provider and nothing, tried the number of another provider and nothing.

most numbers aren't going to come up with anything, specially if they're on a burner phone or an app.
Ok so I downloaded the freetext app and it has an option to make calls. Will those show up on my bill in any way if I make them using the app? Also I text myself and just the number that I choose shows up but I text a lady on the boards and it shows a name attached as if it has a contact card or something?

also, your signature generally only shows up for other users of the same app.

yes, that's a useful clue at times.
