Actually thes are the 7th and 8th century Arab invaders that drove the Egyptians out, the only remnants of the original peoples are the coptics.

Interesting Trucker. In my opinion the Egyptians have been invaded by everybody and their brother. All the invaders were incorporated into the Egyptian society. This is why they are such a diverse country. Still deep down I'm thinking they are trying to hold on to their roots.
