Things to do in Nola

So I plan to be in Nola later on this week and I am wondering if anyone has any info on the ghost tours and cemetery tours. Rumor has it the tours are really expensive. Are there some good deals I am not reading up online or what is the best way to go to save a little money.

The tours are fun and average around $50 per tour, if you do a walking tour. I have done them all!! I enjoy hearing about the old buildings things that happened and the history. I have never seen a ghost or spirit or anything of that nature but I have an open mind. Hell, I could give you the tour, I am a walking library of fun and useless knowledge of my fair city, to include how the industrial canal was built and how many died building it, how Canal Street got its name, and several voodoo rituals, beliefs, and historic sites. Most of it is all right there in the French Quarter. I can take you to Chalmette where Andrew Jackson defeated the British after the War of 1812.

I have hosted scavenger hunts for people that sends them on a wild night of fun learning all about the city, from the battlefield, to the superdome, to the grave site of famous voodoo practitioners, I have taken people to the very first snowball stand which is still in operation today, the roman candy man, the house built to resemble a steamboat, and I can go on and on and on.

I love my city, lol. Geaux Saints!!!

Wow well that sounds lovely I would like to hang with a local who knows all about the city. I am from Austin Tx and I am a walking library and can show anyone around and alot of useless knowledge of my city so I know what you mean.
This makes me more and more excited to come visit I will also be with my gf

You probably do not remember when it was called Dick's Bar many moon's ago. My girl friend and I would meet at the Avenue Pub cause it is close to my house and my wife never would go there.
