I recieved some spam in my inbox today. Has anybody else got any? At least it looked like spam to me. Should anything be done about it? Maybe forward it to someone or just delete. I hope that is does not get bad. FYI for the staff so maybe it can be stopped before it does get too bad.

This was brought up here as well...

Looks like there may be a breech into someone's account. Report the the spam to a moderator or administrator.

I got it, didn't even open the link, which appeared to be a video. There's an unusually large load of bad juju being passed around right now with spam, so be advised.

Quite true. There is a lot of bad stuff going around.

Get some good anti-virus software if you do not have any. There are a number of good free choices in addition to the traditional ones.

Once you have the anti-virus software or if you already have it be sure to keep it up to date. New bad stuff is showing all the time. Your anti-virus software will not help you if its virus database is old and not current.

In addition to the anti-virus stuff get good firewall software as well. Again, there a number of good choice and Windows also comes with its own firewall so if you do not get one use the one that Windows has so you will at least have some protection.

Do not open any e-mail sent by someone you do not know or who you were not expecting e-mail from. We humans can be very curious creatures and the miscreants that create the bad stuff are counting on that curiosity to help spread their stuff.

The key word here is...

Vigilance!
