Lubbock TX

I am looking into visiting there for some fun (; ... But I have traveled to Lubbock only a few times (always family related never business ) so with that being said .. I am extremely curious as to what area I should look into ? As far as rooms go .. What hotels are best? What side of town is the more desirable? Any recommendations ? The date is not set but I am really looking forward to planning for this weekend! Or sometime next week during the week. If any providers or hobbyists' wouldn't mind giving me some insight ?? I would be really appreciative of it ! If all goes well there .... I would most definitely be traveling there more often from here on out.

Stay away from the ones on Q and Clovis highway. Hotels on i27 and south loop are relatively new and not run down... If there is a tech football game in town it will be tough to find a room. Hope you have a good visit

All above except stay away from I27. They may be newer but most of the stings in town happen at these motels. South loop is OK but also you should consider the motels on the SW and west side of Lubbock around the loop.
