Part of me says this is a travesty. There is no reason a man's life has to be turned upside down over a consensual transaction.

On the other hand, a guy that well off and obviously very intelligent can't figure out how to do this without getting caught. Wtf? It's not that difficult to figure out.

At the end if the day, this needs to be decriminalized. The pearl clutchers, bible thumpers & neo-feminists busy bodies can all go fuck themselves.

It was an overstatement by the thread opener to say that the man was fired. Currently he has been removed as Dean, but he keeps his academic appointment and, probably, at least 80% of his salary. It is much harder to fire a tenured Prof than to dismiss a Dean, who serves at the pleasure of the head of a University.
