Question about hobby phones versus texting/calling apps
I'm looking for some advice.
I want to keep everything in this world separate from everything in the real world. I am currently using a text/call app (Text Free) on my old phone to conduct hobby business. It has worked well for me so far.
Does anyone have any feedback on this particular app (or any of them really) that they can offer? Any issues with functionality or reliability long term? Would it be better just to have my old phone turned on with a limited use plan to use for hobby related purposes?
Thank you in advance

Phone apps are the better thing to use and almost free if you don't mind the pop ups!, unless you don't mind buying and paying a "pay as you go phone!" and strictly business phone! It's legal and deductible for tax purposes too!
I have an old flip phone I can add minutes to through Tracphone but texting on those is annoyingly cumbersome and I am an admitted text junkie lol. I did price some "burner" type smart phones out and they are fairly cheap. I guess I just don't want to take on a monthly expense if the apps will work just as well.
TT have you had any issues with whichever apps you have used not working properly or missing calls/messages?

apps work well Strawberry! Try Pinger Tex Free it also works as a phone! There are many apps you just have to see which is best suited! Pm me if you have any questions! I enjoyed our visit! Wow!!
Ok I will stick with that then.
Thank you for the info!
I have separate phones. One for Hobby is a Straight Talk does only hobby including Face Book and Twitter. My RW is only for that including my RW Facebook and Twitter. No crossover.
The reason I have separate Facebook accounts is so I can monitor my date to be sure there is no crossover. Facebook can see when you have multiple numbers on one phone if you do not have settings set correctly to not allow crossover. I do not take chances!!
My hobby Facebook will show me RW names of providers quiet often. I PM them to let them know they have a problem.

Facebook is a tricky little devil indeed...
I had two phones, but when my SO found it on several occasions and even heard it buzz when the battery needed charging I decided to go with an app and it has been great. Many times my cheaper phone could not translate some emojis or pictures so I missed out on some interesting messages.
I never had any issues with Facebook on that.
I did a little "facebook test" last night and, thankfully, did not have my rw identity suggested to me as someone I may know.
