I guess the thing that bothers me is this article completely ignores the fact that our Country fought a horrific war to end this reprehensible practice. A war where hundreds and hundreds of thousands of United States Soldiers lost their lives.

What are these lives worth?

But that aside, come up with a number. Get the hereditary history of every person in the US and see who had a a Ancestor that was held in slavery, and write a check.

End it, and get on with life.

Dizzzy, you're an idiot but I'm sure you've heard that before. Not everyone in the south supported slavery or kept slaves. Two major battles of note; Vicksburg and Fort Sumter. In both cases the Confederate commander did not keep slaves or support slavery whereas the Federal commander owned slaves.

Who pays for the riots in the inner cities. The rioters do since they're being profiled and stopped and fined at record numbers anyway; so the cities can add more revenue to the bottom line and if that's not good enough for you; then take it out of the reparation advance.
