The model for possibly saving $200k in just 5 yrs

Sistine Chapel's Avatar
Talk about taking care of business. Even though she was playing on Wall Street she was strong, shrewd, independent, and represented herself well. $200k on a 5 yr cycle may be a bit much for the Houston market but it still gives you insight as to strategy.

How a $1,000-an-hour escort rose to the top 1% of her field

Svetlana - describes herself as 5ft 7in, 119lbs, with long legs, hazel eyes, full lips and a slender figure.

1.) Spend money take care of yourself

She admits she 'didn't each much,' employed a personal trainer and had manicures and pedicures - always red, 'any other color is taking a risk' - at least twice a week.

Her mascara cost her $130, her eye shadow, foundation and lipstick cost $50 a pop, regular hair appointments cost $200, lingerie sets cost $600, not to mention the clothes and shoes.

One of Svetlana's biggest overheads were the ads she placed on Eros.com; the 'best' site for high-class escorts and '$2,000-an-hour porn stars,' who pay a base fee of $400 a month to be listed.

She spent almost $4,000 a month buying up the most prominent spaces on Eros.com, and flooding the 'featured' and 'what's new' spotlights with her profile.

.) Don't complain about your problems

A billionaire doesn't understand what shitty problems I have,' she writes. 'It’s bad business. A guy will complain to you over and over, but he doesn't want to hear your complaints. I promise you that.'

3.) Be personable (to an extent)

What I know now is that guys want to know the women they’re fucking. It surprised me, but a lot of them - most of them - really need to feel a sort of connection,' she writes.
4.) Fake Orgasms (keep it moving)

Svetlana faked orgasms with relative ease and presumably on nearly every occasion. Her mind, she says, was always in business mode.
5.) Know what persona's work best for you

Svetlana built herself two personas to advertise to men; Anna - was more 'shy' and 'passionate,' and Angelina was 'fun and playful.'
6.) Be available

Svetlana made herself available 12 hours a day, from noon until midnight, 'rarely' drank, 'never' took drugs, 'always' used condoms and demanded payment in advance - although, she says, it's best to pretend the envelope 'doesn't exist.

7.) Important Key to moving into the top 1% - Find you one of these:

One 62-year-old client, divorced and with cancer, would pay her a $20,000-a-month retainer for two full days and nights every week
8.) Save, save, save

Eventually, Svetlana gave up her career and said goodbye to Anna and Angelina (persona's). She has saved up $200,000 over the past five years, and is currently studying film-making and psychology.

So roughly $3k a month saved. So at $250 a session that's like 3 a week. Seems like that could be done in one day if she was good at her job. Everything after that would be for current living expenses. Work another 2 days and that's doable.

Of course, 99% probably spend every $ they get, until they burn out or get used up.

200k isn't a lot of money, wtf did she do with the rest?
This isn't a model for how to save, it's a "Hooker How To" guide, from one provider's perspective. #7 particularly makes me laugh; sure, let me just find myself a wealthy octogenarian to write me into his will, and I'll be set.

Anywhos, on topic, it is not difficult to save as long as you prioritize and are smart about things. TBone has it pretty right on the money (pun intended) for how easy it could be to save that kind of dough. Especially if she was really making that $20k/month from her supposed sugar daddy (and yes, I agree as well....where the hell did the rest of that money go?)

I agree that $200k doesn't seem like a lot of money nowadays. I would be aiming more for like half a mil, minimum.

Actually... 200k is a pretty reasonable savings for that amount of time, assuming she was actually paying her taxes. Assuming 5 days off per month, one client per day for the other days, plus the 20k for 8 days gone per month.. that's 37k/month... take out taxes, maintenance expenses, and the cost of living in NYC... she saved around 20-25% of her post tax earnings.

You win either way because you quit your vice and get closer to God and you get paid at the end of it all. ;-)
I remember the struggles.....
