Slice bread? French bread? If u get a ziplock bags ment for frozen foods it can keep fresh for long time. I got a stand up freezer and buy French bread and keep em frozen, and doesn't take long maybe an hour or so to defrost.

I'm a single guy and find sliced bread will do just fine for as long as a few months (at least 6)... It's difficult to buy in bulk when you got just one mouth to feed. Bread does fine and surprising things like milk (the plastic jug stretches enough not to explode) does fine also. Funny how a banana does okay as long as immediately eaten but an Apple will be sause with skin.
You don't have to freeze it. Just put it in the fridge. That will keep it from molding for a few weeks. (probably long enough for you to finish it off)
Just buy a short loaf and call it a day
