Anyone ever have a serious case of insomnia?
If I've slept 6hrs. total within the last 72 thats plenty.
Tried to relax in a dark and quiet room.
I've tried melatonin to no avail.
Tried alcohol - got a nice buzz but that didn't work. Wtf
.
Even tried counting sheep. I swear those little bastards were laughing saying "can you believe that dumb asshole thinks this is going to work" as they walked by.
FFFUUCCCCKKKK!!!!!!
Any ideas?
Sorry you are dealing with insomnia,I read that dwelling on it makes it worse and vigorous exercise can trigger it.
Here are a few snacks to consume for getting a good night of sleep: (6)
Half a banana with a few almonds
Crackers*with almond butter
Gluten-free oatmeal with honey and dark cherries
Small Ezekial wrap with turkey and cranberries
Small glass of warm goat’s milk kefir with turmeric and a dash of cinnamon
Chamomile, passion flower and valerian tea
Small glass of tart cherry juice
Thanks for the responses. Shut the tv and computer off, tried to completely relax and pretty much just stared into darkness.
I'll digest what I've read so far and see what I may try.
Sooner or later I just gotta crash……
Something poeple do that screws up their sleep cycle.
Eating within two hours of going to sleep. Your body is now working on digesting the food so you only go into a catnap phase's until your body breaks down the food.
Drinking anything with caffiene within five to six hours before bed. It stays in your system for six to eight hours.
Playing with your smart phone, laptop, or computer for anytime in the two hours before bed. The LCD screen keeps your brain in overdrive. You can switch to a night mode on most phones,,bit you should avoid those an hour before bed.
Lemonbalm tea is a great natural sedative. There are two low impact non habit forming prescription meds than can help too trazadone and/or remeron. There are also some really helpful breathing techniques that can help as well. You can Google for those.
