It's that time of the year again......same routine, with the same friends. We eat breakfast together, eat lunch together (and drink), and then we have dinner together (and drink more). We talk about what the military taught us, friends that didn't make it, and the bonds we have forged for a lifetime. The United States military is a family that 99% can't truly understand. Thanks to all that have served their country! The rigors of serving, especially during a time of armed conflict or war takes its toll. It's the men and women who have served and made sacrifices that has allowed the people of this great nation to live the lives that they are able to. Happy Veterans Day!
Well, I can't say that I celebrate Veteran's Day the same way Puccipleaser does. I will go to Applebee's this evening for a partially free dinner. I never went overseas and I see a huge difference between serving stateside and serving in a war zone.
Thanks to all fellow vets who gave a part of their life to serve.
As a multiple combat disabled veteran, I want to pray my fellow combat brothers/ sisters enjoy their day and be safe! Enjoy it for the ones who didn't get to come back!
