SWSX - Festival in Austin

Anyone going to the SWSX Music/Film festival? Thinking about checking it out on the 18th, but I am kind of confused.

Some of my favorite hip hop artist are performing at Venue 222 in Austin and I got crazy excited. So I went looking on-line on how to purchase tickets. I went to Venue 222's website and they said in order to gain access you need SXSW credentials, what the fuck does that mean?

I googled the shit out swsx credentials to no avail. Can anybody offer some insight?

That means you have to have connections, such as press credentials It's a world famous event and most of the shows are in small venues, so the press and promoters sometimes get VIP treatment. Austin rocks!!!

You may want to post your question in the Austin Sandbox forum. I know there are quite a number of folks there who are familiar with that event.

Sounds like they're only allowing press credentials or volunteer credentials to get in. If you go to SXSW...have fun and have one on me!!

To get badges they are talking about $400-$500 - Fux that. although, I am still going to go and find trouble to get into!
