what is "referrals" in my profile?

Hi--I've been here for years, but just looked at my profile and under statistics, saw referrals, 0. Wondering what that is. I looked around my profile and couldn't figure out what it is. Thanks for the info, and sorry if I'm asking a dumb question!

Referrals are people you referred to the site for membership.

Its really for the ladies. If they refer other providers to the site they can get credit towards banner ads and whatnot.
