lucky the fire did not spread to the many other warehouses in the Fruitvale District.. are these late-night raves just a recipe for disaster?

I just saw that I have friends up that way, rave/edm scene is still strong in those parts. So sad.

Sad, but very predictable. Fire standards that are designed for entertainment or large crowds; warehouses that probably don't meet code even for a warehouse; young and careless patrons, etc. it's a wonder stuff like this doesn't happen more often.

Thinck of as a small culling of the herd.
