Dec 31st is the last day for my 2g service. Is there a way to transfer phone SIM to a new phone and keep old number or must I start over ? ..thanks

Being that old, that card may not work in a newer device. Wouldn't hurt to ask a dealer or one of those pay as you go places.
Maybe go to a boost mobile, AT&T, Cricket and have them use that number and transfer it to a new device if that's possible. And just pay cash for a no contract phone.
