Looking for a hotel for multiple days, possibly a week or more... the weekends on the strip are difficult especially with the hotel fees, deposits and high weekend rates! Help please, business is super slow! I don't want to stay too far away or in a bad neighborhood but I'm ok with less than 2stars if nessesary

Check out Southpoint and the Silverton casinos. They are both just off the strip on the south end.they use to offer room for around $40 a night. I also heard the Flamingo casino and the D casino in old vegas by Freemont street is priced good. Good luck!

Downtown Grand has nice remodeled rooms and they can be as cheap as $30 a night Sun-Thurs. Groupon just had a deal for the Linq @ $35 a night with dates into August. I believe it was weekdays only. Hooters will sometime have $28/nt rooms. Not the best rooms but close to the Strip, safe, and free parking.
Yes, most weekends can be pricey on the strip, and even some places downtown.

You might try a website that has promotional codes for the various hotel/casinos. Anyone can use the codes. There are several sites, but one of my favorites when I can't get a good offer from a casino is the list at Las Vegas Advisor. (http://deals.lasvegasadvisor.com/hotels/)

Good luck!
