Best Areas To Stay In Kansas City?

I'm planning a visit to Springfield and thought I might make my way up to Kansas City. I was curious about the nicest areas to host an incall, as well as whether I should stay on the Kansas side or the Missouri side. Any information will be greatly appreciated!
