Smokers

I don't have anything against providers who smoke. Several are regulars. I do wish that everyone who smokes would be aware of their breath however. Toothpaste and/or mint chewing gum do wonders. BTW if you're wondering if this is about you, if I've seen you more than once, it's not.

My ex was a smoker and she cleaned up and rarely smelled. So it can be done, but a lot of the odor comes from the lungs not much you can do about that. I like a product called Thera Breath (blue bottle)it seems to eliminate many odors instead of just masking them.

Smokers breath. NO GO.
But what if a provider is a non smoker & a client shows up and has a cigarette right before the appointment how much does it bother the provider. I'm a non smmoker and it a big turn off for me.

We aren't allowed to show that we are upset at a client about anything. That'll land us a nice little thread in the He-Man-Women-Hating club

I want to make sure it's clear that what I posted wasn't meant as a blanket condemnation of smokers. With most of the smoking providers I know, it's fine. Occasionally with someone new, it isn't.

Considering the amount dropped on a 1 or 2 hour appointment, it's hard not to be disappointed when you realize the provider's breath is going to smell like an ashtray the whole time. I find it very distracting. It may be that I'm overly sensitive to it. I don't smoke, but I chew a whole pack of spearmint gum on the way to every appointment to try to make sure my breath is good. I'm not saying a provider should have to go to that extreme but some basic steps are definitely appreciated.
A lot of non smokers (me included) feel very strongly about kissing smokers. I know I've been with my share of smoker providers. Some are honest, some are not. If I don't actually see them smoke, I usually wouldn't question in the review, but it's kinda hard to miss.

I personally would never date a smoker. Huge turn off. But I can date you for an hour if you have good mouthwash!

Danielle, I wouldn't think there'd be anything wrong with not seeing smokers. Is it really different than NBA or other personal preferences? Yes, people would bitch but people bitch about basically everything.
