Scammed by Sydney Simms

So I knew the risks going into this, but just wanted to leave this here so everyone else can avoid dealing with her.

I first messaged Sydney on P411 over a month ago, and followed up via text. We tried to find a time to meet but our schedules never quite aligned. Then just last week it looked like it might actually happen, but then at the last minute she finally informed me that she doesn't have an incall location. Unfortunately I can't host an outcall since I don't live alone.

This is where I got stupid. I sent her a message offering to book her a room at 4-5 star hotel in exchange for a good rate on an overnight meeting (thinking late night to early morning for me, and she'd have the room all day for other meetings). She said she'd think about it.

Then the next day she said something came up and she needed to get out of her house for a few days (she promised no drama). She asked if I'd be willing to get her a lesser hotel for 3 nights and that I could stay over one of those nights. I said sure. At this point we were texting back and forth frequently discussing which hotel, etc and she was very responsive and pleasant. She hesitated but said she felt she trusted me enough to give me her real name to book the room under (probably another fake name). Anyway, I get her the room for this past Saturday, Sunday and Monday nights and tell her I'm busy Saturday but could come see her one of the next couple nights.

So Saturday she texts me saying she got into the room with no problem, and sends me a selfie of her in the room. So far so good. I tell her I can come by Sunday night, and after that, she completely ghosts me. Not a single response over the next few days, and obviously no meeting.

Nothing to be done now, and I'm only out some frequent flier miles. Not the end of the world, but don't repeat my mistake!

why no check her reviews? ESPECIALLY when the REVIEW IS A NO?

I did see that - but to be fair there were a handful of positive reviews on here too if you search for her name. It's always possible that your "NO" review was an isolated incident, but I guess not!

Maybe take a flyer on somebody you haven't seen before with a 30-min. or a blow-n-go instead of buying the Showcase Showdown vacation package up front.
