I keep thinking that I can't possibly become more disgusted by the incompetent pigs running Washington. We are in debt up to our eyeballs, and a deal to cut $38 bill from the budget really doesn't amount to a hill of shit even if they were bona fide cuts. But, it turns out most of the "cuts" weren't even genuine cuts, much of the cuts were non-renewals of programs that were temporary to begin with.

So basically, nothing changed. What a fucking crock of shit. This is exactly why I became interested in the Tea Party to begin with. The Tea Party movement began with some fool going off on CNBC on the floor of the Chicago Exchange, in reaction to the planned bank bailout. The people who flocked to the first Tea Party events could have given a shit less about social policy, they were there because they were furious about incompetent fiscal policy. But somehow the right wing fruitcakes, deciding that the Republican Party was no longer conservative enough for them, invaded the Tea Party in droves. Now the Tea Party is just a branch of the Republican Party. And those of us who's only focus is a Congress that never saw a dollar they couldn't find a way to spend are once again without any voice in Washington.
