Once again Texas dominated the field.

Question. Does it bother people in Kansas that Texas has the best BBQ for the 11th. year in a row?

Of course texas is going to dominate the list of the best BBQ in texas. Be more surprising if it didn't.

Didn't pass reading comprehension in Troll University did you.

I wouldn't say that Texas is better, it's just a completely different style. Not being from this area, it's hard to not eat KC BBQ any time I'm in that city, and the same goes for anywhere I go in TX. The last place I ate in Texas was Louie Mueller's, and that place was pretty damn exceptional...
Its interesting that the publication was a Texas publication talking bout Texas...didnt look but I would wonder who or where the author of this is from. So this proves nothing more than Texans love to talk about Texas.
Just an opinion and you know what they say everyone has one like an asshole.
I saw an national reporter interviewing Joes KC owner. He stated that Bbq came from the deep south. Primarily the Carolinas, Memphis then Texas....but Kansas City has perfected it. They each have there own way...its all based on who loves what.
Setting the scene:

A small basement bathroom, dimly lit...Texas crickets chirp in the background. A bi-curious cowboy fiendishly scours the web for troll material. He knows a BBQ magazine is lame...but its late. He bookmarks the page, rubs one last one out to some gay porn, and the lights fade out.

What was that movie that said Texas is all Steers and Queers?

Again, I go back to the education ratings and Texas being one of the worst.
Oh ya that's it.

Wow, the reporter was NATIONAL. SO WHAT! There is no excuse for a reporter to make up a story with little facts: many do, so we must keep a little doubt when we read what anyone writes today. Look up some cooking history, man as been cooking over an open fire long before the beginning of what is referred to as the "deep south". What would you call the cooking over wood fire by a Neanderthal? He probably thought it was really good cooking, whatever he called it.

We can always improve or cooking, or just make changes and see how they come out and call it whatever we want.

One likes what one likes. No one can dictate his personal likes or dislikes to others. To claim that yours is better than mine is like an insult with a smile. Quite frankly, I like every type of cooking. What you like or dislike, does not matter to the discussion. For example, a lot of people like the hot taste very much, others not. But the demand for good food is everywhere.

Kansas City or Texas: I like all types both types of meat.
