anybody know where to go to listen to a Blues band?

NOLA.

Not sure about any in North LA, but the Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale, MS is definitely worth the trip!

Clarksdale also hosts the Juke Joint Festival every year in April and it is always a great time.

Listen to Pandora, have a blues channel in there, but, been wanting to hear some live. I think Beale St in Memphis is another good place to listen to Blues bands.

Danceman go to Lee's on a Monday night. They have a Monday night Blues Jam night where some of the best old & young local talent from east Texas and northwest Louisiana come out to play.
