The Putin Interviews on Showtime

I managed to watch them, although I had to settle for watching them out of sequence. I actually watched #4 first.

There is one undeniable truth you take away from these interviews. Putin is no idiot. In fact, he came across as being extremely knowledgeable about History and how the World works.

He has a humorous distain for many of our Leaders. He particuarilly noted the episode when President Obama was hanging medals on Biden and other polititians at the end of his 8 years. He likened it to the old Soviets doing the same thing. Medals for doing nothing but showing up.

Another thing you could not help notice was every time Putin was on camera, he was impeccably manicured and dressed for the occasion. Even while practicing his Judo or playing Hockey. In stark contrast, Oliver Stone looked like a bum whose Bloody Mary hadn't kicked in yet.

Putin controlled the interviews. We learned very little that most of us didn't already know.

Putin is smart. Putin is a masterful politician.

Putin is a dangerous man to cross.

He just might be genuinely evil.

Oliver Stone better keep his day job.
