Choke bitch! Swallow!

Now that I have your attention, what do you think about the healthcare bill the republicans are pushing?

I believe they are saying to all of us: "Choke bitch! Swallow!"

The dirty rotten core to government assisted health care is Obamacare.

Once an entitlement is created it is impossible to slay the dragon. A free market solution that would improve care and lower costs are forever gone. We have BO and the Dems to thank for that.

I think everyone..including the conservatives and Liberals, need to STFU and eat the shit sandwich they made. This problem was created by the left and the left can be the only ones to fix it.. I have no faith that they would be capable of doing it, but I'm sure that they'd screw it up even more.

I say toss the turd back into their laps...let them repair Obamacare.. let it be their tar baby again.
A lady who lives two Lofts down from me, (She is a CPA), just had to have her Gall Bladder removed.

The large CPA firm where she works is inches ACA.

She was covered. Her deductible was $7000.

True, the ACA does offer those who could not afford Health Insurance a means by which to obtain it.

The only problem is, they can't afford to get sick.

Personally, I could care less. Medicare, (not Medicaid, which is welfare health coverage), has been my primary carrier for 5 years since I turned 65. My insurance through my business is considered my suplimentary coverage.

I just hand them both cards, and let them hash it out.

Hell, just LOOK At where welfare came from. The great depression where it was supposed to be a TEMPORARY MEASURE to get you back on your feet. Now its seen in many communities, as a RIGHT of passage, since dad/mm was also on it..
And look where we are at.

And that's not just medicare/welfare and ebt. BUT also encompasses section 8 housing, free education for the poor, schooling for the poor, subsidized day care etc... IIRC a study was done in 2007-8 that showed if you wanted to earn MORE in a work paying job than you get being lazy and on the dole (as we brits would say) you would need to work 50 hrs a week at 22$ an hour, to break EVEN..

Even if you disagree with healthcare as a right, you should see the logic in healthcare for everybody as the right thing to do.

A 9 year old girl is dying from an asthma attack. Her parents can't afford to pay. Does she deserve to die? In this wealthy nation, should we allow her to die?

Or let's say a person walks into an emergency room with ebola having no ability to pay. Should that person be turned away, spreading the disease that will eventually get back to you or your children?

For all of you libertarians and republicans, do you see that universal healthcare will save the lives of your very own children?
