Sorry to hear that but wanted to point out that a email to the staff would have been a better move, you just linked your old and "new" account with this post.
At current, you still have time to edit or delete the above and go the safer route.

I would say - if this is due to security reasons, create another one and send an email to Admins asking to disable both !! Stay safe !!
