So I'm thinking about "touring" but have no clue on the DO's and DONT'S. Best places?, advertising?, scheduling? Basically I need touring 101! Any advice, suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated.

I've never toured as a provider
But. In all my time as a hobbyist there is one provider who stands out as an advocate for the ladies in terms of logistics advice etc and that is Dallas. My bet is if you follow her lead you will have a blast!
