Like it or not, it is a fact there is a tremendous amount of fake news put out in
the media. Especially fake headlines. Then you get drawn to the story (with the accompanying ads), and the story includes the caveats.

It is all about the click counts. They don't care if they are putting up fake headlines as long as they can get the click.
Newspapers cannot make money without it as with most media outlets that are not broadcast on television.
Dumbasses will read the headlines and then repost it like it is fact rather than rewading it to find out they were conned.
