You ladies using social media to "market" your services...

...may want to reconsider that decision:

How Facebook Outs Sex Workers

This specifically addresses Facebook, which is probably the most egregious offender, but frankly I wouldn't trust Instagram (owned by Facebook), Twitter, or whatever Google is hawking to try to replace those, either...

Not to mention that some of us won't use social media - I've seen too many instances where use of Facebook and other sites results in viruses being transferred.

Bottom line - if the only way to contact a lady is through social media, I won't be seeing her.

I always thought using the Book of Faces was the quickest way to give up way too much info. That, plus what others have said about the friend recommendation thing as in how does FB know who's your friends? I thought it was pretty obvious that FB 'reads' your computer to get old email contact addresses and such to make those connections. It's really the only way.

If someone is FB contact only, then I'm not wasting my time and causing my own security breech.

Besides, I don't really care to read what someone ate for lunch and thought was so damn interesting that they had to tell the whole world.

Bahhh...kids with their new-fangled whatchamacallits... in my day, we had to actually TALK to the other person. Weird I know.

If the details in the article are accurate, it means that something I've long suspected is true - Facebook is putting cookies on machines that tie in with general browser activity. Creepy.

I would suggest to never use Facebook in the same browser that you access escort websites and groups. And always use a VPN.
