There are enough people from Calif. here to make it work, if they do. BTW Trader Joes will be opening a store in Austin.

There are quite a few local burger joints that completely blow away most chain restaurants.

As to Chester's, I like it, but did not like the poppy seed buns. And I seem to recall some health scare about those.

We have many, almost too many, burger places in this town. We really do not need another one.

Chester's, Fudd's, Chris Madrid's, Red Robin, Bigz, Longhorn...there's a burger place for every mood out there.
I loved In-and-Out because they are a fast food restaurant. You drive through and you have a delicious meal in a short time. I'm not much of a Sonic, Wataburger or McDonalds fan. So, them coming to town would be great. Any time that I go back to my parent state, I end up eating at In-and-Out almost once a day (probably due to nostalgia), but I do love their stuff.
Ammotroop, sorry you had a bad experience...you must have gone to a bad I/O location. I've had sonic hamburger (no, no) they don't even come close to a good I/O hamburger.

I don't even care for hamburgers very much...but, I/O is my ATF hamburgers of all time! Whenever I go to CA...my family and I make it a tradition to eat there.

If you've never tried it...just wait...you're gonna be spoiled! The other CA hamburger chains don't even come close...best value for your buck!
