how do you budget hobby activities?

I was wondering how everyone else budgets for their fun time? I know I pretty much just get the urge and try to make something happen within the next day or so. As I thought about it more and more this could really put a strain on my budget if I'm not careful.....it's just too fun! I was thinking putting money aside every couple of checks and having a general time frame of when my next time to participate would be. Any other ideas out there?

When I first started hobbying I just called when I got the urge and had to go with a lady that fit my budget at the time...after a few times of that I learned that if I planned ahead and saved for it I could get a better selection.

I tried saving as much as I can when I can but putting some money away is a good method, until I started saving 20% of my check each week . I call it my hobby fund .

Budget? What's that? I hobbied like it was Monopoly money when I first started. Now I'm more selective, more discreet, and the newness has worn off. I've slowed way down so it isn't even a concern.

A good hobby experience, while not inexpensive, can be the best bargain of a man's life. How much are fond memories worth....?
