Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

Would love to hear any unusual traditions anyone follows for the big day.

Mine is my brother and I do a Bachelor's Thanksgiving. We have a barbecue over mesquite wood (and charcoal) of just about anything but turkey. nothing against turkey, but its kinda big for our pit.. lol.

wait, is that what she said?..ha ha. not to me or Pyramider..

my bro and I do an unusual marinade. we use a base of red wine, white wine, or beer, and adding other stuff to the marinades: fruits, juices, spices, vinegar, Worstershire sauce, enzymes, etc. then soak for 24 hours in the fridge, throw it on the grill once the coals are red, and voila. oral orgasm...

Happy turkey day!

Make sure to have my plate, I don't care for turkey either
YUM!

I'm vegetarian so I'm obsessed with side dishes!! MMMM!!! I love every single possible Thanksgiving side dish ever! Nobody cares if you come home for the holidays anymore if you're 29 with no kids though

I'm roasting a turkey breast that I have been brining/marinating in a buttermilk mix. It smells great. I have never done a buttermilk soak before. I'm interesting see how it turns out. Also roasting a ham...ok...reheating it and glazing it out on the pit. Mixing up some homemade mashed potatoes and home made stuffing from a great-grandmothers recipe.

Nothing unusual in my house. I do up all the traditional dishes.... Turkey, dressing, taters (sweet and savory both), etc.etc. Set it all out on a table with disposable plates and utensils buffet style. Everyone just munches when they want all day.
I actually just finished putting it all out.

Right before all my kids informed me they had other plans and left. LMAO!!

So glad these are my fave leftovers. I'll be eating this meal for a week.

Turkey enchiladas actually.
And I always make stock with the carcass, giblets, and veggie ends and use that in place of chicken broth throughout the year.
