Hobby Phone Question

Does anyone know of a prepaid phone that doesn't require you to use a separate phone or the internet to activate it? By that I mean all of the prepaid phones I've been researching require you you to either call a number or go online to activate it. I've read elsewhere that there might be specific models that you can activate using the phone itself.

I had a prepaid flip phone back in the day, and I remember being able to activate it using the phone itself. I recently got a hobby phone, but am looking to get a new one.

TracFone will do that. At least you used to be able to.

During setup they will ask you to use a 2nd phone to activate it but you could bypass that and just use the hobby phone.

Thanks for the suggestion. The hobby phone I want to replace is a Tracfone, and it required a second phone for activation, though I've heard that some specific models do not. Do you know how to go about bypassing activation with a second phone? Thanks again.

For all my spy vs. spy needs I have my regular phone, Magic Jack and two Google Voice accounts. That means I have four valid phone numbers to call/text from. MJ app is like $30 a year, call/text all day.

MJ and Google are kinda quirky and there is a learning curve to GV. But if this dumbass can figure it out, it should be easy for anyone else. Again, GV call/text all day and it's free.

If'n I have a need to hide the GV app, I uninstall, then, thanks to Apple Cloud, reinstall in a flash and everything is still there.

Frankly, I can't think of a single reason to have a disposable phone anymore unless I was doing something seriously illegal, Mafia hitman or something.

AND I have the same password for MJ and GV! So, ain't gotta fuck with that shit either. Lil bit of planning goes a long, long way!

I activated my Tracfone from a pay phone. Granted, pay phones are exceedingly rare, but there are still a few out there. Mostly in the parking lots of really shitty gas stations in the hood.

So what if you have to call in on one phone to activate. Just tell Walmart you just got out on parole and dont have separate phone.. I bet they would call for you. If its a burner phone you dont need a linked email that works if you dont care. Myself i have 2 phones one for the plug and one for the load (i kid)

I got a new burner last august, a Next10 (which is somehow related to Tracfone I think). I just bought a card with minutes, and activated it. No other phone was required. I don't remember the details of the activation, but any email or other info provided was my hobby email. Nothing to connect me to real info. Paid cash, of course, for phone and minutes.

I seem to recall having set up my my latest Verizon Naughty Boy phone in a parking lot in Panama City, FL.

But if you get one that needs the internet, simply walk into a public library.
