Roller Derby, Baby!

Okay. And now for something completely different:

Has anyone been to our local Roller Derby?
We have a local team, the Alamo City Roller Girls. They play a home game on June 5th.
If you want to have some fun, non-hobby, be there.
I'll be there. I have season passes. You can buy tickets at the door, but I'd recommend buying them online, and picking them up a will-call.
If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them, or whatever.

I met them years ago at one of my DJ gigs. Quite an interesting group of ladies.
Kit Kat is always there I wanna go check it out. I saw some of it on tv one day and it looks fun!

Well, our team locally is all women, and it is flat track.
Actually I saw a piece about them on one of the local television stations not too long ago. I think it was a morning local talk show. It did look like fun and the ladies were really into it. I hope they do well and I might go to one of them. Seriously - thank you for initating a post about them.
ill be there!!!
cant wait!!
Think I may just have to give this a whirl I've never been to a roller derby before

A&E did a reality show lasting about 8 or 10 weeks, a few years ago, about the banked track Austin roller derby girls. I'm not a reality show fan, but this one followed the girls, and was a lot of fun to watch. The bouts looked like the days, years ago, when Roller Derby was televised on Saturday afternoons. I was a fan then, and still am. Looks like fun!!
