Have been thinking about the decent ones I have seen and the bad ones.

I assume it is a cost of surgery issue, where/how it is placed and perhaps the type that caused the outlines on the breast or when in cowgirl the pendulum effect.

What is the deal on these? I should know I bought several back in the day but never questioned much.

Not sure what you are asking here, catnipdipper. Are you wondering why some fake breasts turn out better than others?

Yes. Is it $$? Surgeon? How done? Where inserted? Material used?

If you have that line or the pendulums it can't be good.

I think it is a combination of three things:

1. What the gal brings to the table. How much breast is there to start with and how well the gal's skin and tissue stretches to accommodate the added volume.

2. The skill of the surgeon. This is probably both technical skill as well as the ability express experience and guide the gal to a desirable outcome.

3. How much is being added. If going from an a-cup to a d-cup it's probably much more difficult to not end up with the 'bolt on' look with ever hard nipples. If going from a small c to a full d, I suspect the natural breast tissue provides much of the final look.

I'm 100% natural and I wouldn't change a thing. I've answered similar questions in similar threads and frankly, Mr. Stone has said it better than I beleive I have ever seen it written.

I have spent years around ladies on the dance circuit that have had augmentation. The absolute best I have ever seen in my life was on a girl named Dani (alias) who I danced with at Babydolls in Topeka KS (now retired and living in Overland Park). Her breasts were something to behold, we were all jealous, and on Dani's worst day they could have been stacked against Jenna Jameson's - and won.

She was a mature lady that 1) had children and breast fed, so she brought a great deal of elasticity to the equation and had previously ballooned to a size F from her size B when actively breastfeeding. 2) She chose a great surgeon (Dr. John Michael Quinn) and he performed the surgery under the arm, placing the implants with skill over the muscle through an incision in the armpit. 3) She augmented to just above a large size D, a fraction of how far the tissues had been previously stretched. All together, it made for a wonder of modern medicine.

I haven't seen her in years, so I do not know how well they held up over the test of time, but my God, I still dream about those boobies when she was on stage . . . when done right, an augmentation can be amazing. When done incorrectly, I have seen it drive women to suicide. And yes, it usually always boils down to dollars - and hiring the better surgeon. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for . . . However, I have seen even the best surgeons have results that have been horrendous. Genetics does play a role, you have to have a body type and skin that will accpet the implants and there's no test for that other than in the doing - and then there is "implant insanity", a more common than one may think affliction in which ladies literally go insane about a year after the surgery. I've seen that more times than I can count.

I have often thought about augmentation but I do not want to lose sensitivity (which is common, especially at the nipple) and I do not want to risk any unforeseen consequence as long as mine are holding up as well as they are (so I am told) . . . Plus, I lactate (sporadically and sparingly, but I can usually get a decent amount of milk if I know in advance it may be desired) and I have clients that enjoy the fetish (yes, boys, it costs extra - and it ain't cheap, book well in advance). Then there is the whole "foreign object" thing being implanted into my body (yuck) . . . when they perfect fat transfer they can suck the little bit from my thighs I would like to lose and transfer it to my breasts.

So - Mr, Stone is correct, and he should probably consider med school (or at least an internship at a plastic surgeon's office).

I think the its all about finding a surgeon who is an artist at his trade.

Google 'Bill Margold' (adult film industry veteran) and 'implant schizophrenia' - he coined the term.

It isn't limited to adult film professionals, exotic dancers exhibit the same "issues" post surgery.

Additionally, women with implants are three to ten times more likely (dependent upon on their age at the time of implantation) than the general population to take their own life within ten years from augmentation. source: International Epidemiology Institute, Rockville, Maryland, August 2008.

I tend to agree that there are "issues" pre op that "mature" at a later time?

I beleive a lot of the issues are with preexisting, underlying "issues" that are magnified by the procedure not meeting their "expectations". Although, many argue that it is something more than that . . . all I know for certain is a lot of ladies go absolutely bat shit crazy within a year of augmentation.

I could understand how emotionally difficult it would be to have men focus on breasts that are only partially your own. Any weak point in ones body image would be enhanced (pun intended).

If you guys haven't seen the movie Breast Men you should check it out. It is a fictionalized account of the real-life doctors who developed modern breast augmentation surgery. It is not the greatest movie but it is kind of funny and interesting.

But there's one scene where the young doctor deals with a patient who had gotten a primitive version of enhancement surgery that used sponges rather than silicone. They show her tits all mangled and deformed -- it is really gross. I flash back to it occasionally when I see a poorly done boob job. Yuk
