What to do if someone else is impersonating you

I had a provider that I've seen multiple times message me that some other person was contacting them from a different number claiming to be me (saying that my profile was theirs). To my knowledge this hasn't happened to me before, so I was wondering what the appropriate response on my end would be. Do i go ahead and post in the alert section about this?

Personally, when I contact a provider for the first time I always message them on the site, even if I text them.

No perfect solution to the impersonators, but your instinct is correct imo.

You might also note in your signature that you only contact or verify via PM here for security purposes.
