What don't you like in an ad?

So its been quiet, and I'm always talking about marketing (something I think most providers don't do well at ALL - exceptions noted). So here's my thread for interesting thoughts...

What thing that providers willingly put in an ad that most deters/annoys/makes you laugh, or all of the above. We can all laugh at the accidental "turd in the toilet" bathroom picture that's infamous, but I'm more interested in things purposefully put in ads by providers.

I'll start.

Pictures of wads of money in ads.

Holding wads of money in a pic, etc...

Why? It's not motivating at all. Congratulations, at one time you had some money, and took a picture of it, why does that make me want to call you? So much for illusion of passion, it just let's me know what your priorities are (and of course it is, but... do you really need to emphasize you're taking money?), and what you think I should see before we meet.

If it doesn't make me want you, why is it in your ad? I just don't know anyone that said, "Hey, she's got a wad of cash in her hand... HOT, I wanna hook up with her!"

Want me to think you see me as an ATM, put pics of money up on your ads. For me, it's an automatic no go.

Feel free to post your pet peeves for what providers INTENTIONALLY put in ads Hopefully it gives some feedback to providers, or something to think about at least.

Enjoy your weekend!

I don’t want to see a big list of ‘no’s’. No anal, no dATY, no black guys, no guys under 30, no MSOG. It’s decent information, but too many no’s will make me cross a provider off of my to do list.

What I DO want to see are a couple of decent photos. I want a good idea of age, body type and a halfway decent face shot. A simple “GFE” or “not GFE” would be helpful, although those terms don’t always mean the same thing for everyone.

A simple paragraph about what kind of experience to expect would be helpful.

With BP becoming more difficult to use, providers that have their own website and do a good job of creating it and maintaining it will be much more busy and profitable than someone just posting ads on BP, or even here.
Thats not actually true on the website. Mine is currently down because i was spending $$ to have a website with list of activities, screening form, faqs & pics. And gents still want to ask me personally instead of reading a paragraph. Not a lot of people wanted to use the screening form which helps me stay organized.
Those stupid ass dog ears and nose photos or whatever the hell they decorate their photos with. It's not sexy and it's not cute. Automatic turn the page for me. I don't want to fuck a dog, kitten, rabbit or whatever the hell it is they are trying to make themselves look like.

Jack, I always admire your attempts to bring professionalism and logic to a generally chaotic business... I would say, along the lines of what SmallWonder said; too many Nos is a turnoff, and I'll add too much focus on who she won't see... Of course it's helpful to list requirements and expectations regarding newbies, screening etc. but without too many caps, exclamation marks, and "so don't ask" comments. After all we don't want to feel like you're pissed off at us before we even meet.
Yea, what you guys have said. Also, "I'm worth it" Don't try to convince me. I Will be the judge of that. Also, when I see that It makes me think the rates must be high.

Understand some providers are 5 Star quality, but should be inline with the local flavors.

On the other side of the coin, no fees listed is a negative also.
Would save a few mins of searching if they would show with the profile.
The biggest joke or lie, depending upon how you view it, is the statement, "new pictures coming soon". I see that statement in ads being reviewed for compliance every day and often by the same providers who have been making that promise for years!
It helps though. If I see "no BBBJ" then i know i don't have to waste my time

I have no idea why they insist on using them, did some client say they liked it? Lol. Probably not!

like bilbo said i hate all the emoji's also cannot stand when their title is all cryptic writing hard as hell to read between that and the emoji's!

another that irks me is no leo then when you call they ask it. for some reason many of these providers think that i they ask an officer has to tell if they are. police agencies do not announce they are police in an undercover sting of any kind why would they in prostitution sting?

one more that kinda pisses me off is when a gal has a personal escort site but want you to pay a subscription fee to see pics of what she looks like. im not seeking an escort for spank material so seeing her nude body to know if it is what im after would be beneficial on their part! i can understand blurring your face for privacy reasons but if i pay for time with a gal i will be seeing her nude anyways so why hide it?

also why advertise with pics where they look like they just rolled out of bed messy hair etc. seeing that a gal can't even take the time to primp up for photos gives the impression that they will not care how they look for a date with a guy! don't get me wrong i like a natural beauty but if your auctioning yourself off to the highest bidder take the time to make me want to buy the product!

and this leads to photo shopping out her imperfections or other aspects of her body. if i look at your website and expect you to look one way and your 360 degrees on the other end of the spectrum there is a good chance you may be turned away. for instance many men (not me) but many are turned off by c scars if you have one and ps it out a guy who does not like them gets you naked and sees one things may turn!

(edit) forgot to add when a lady wants to represent herself thinner than she is or put her weight way off from what she is in her showcase! doing the tummy stretch in pics or just angle of pics or never taking a frontal shot period! this also can make a client turn but follow through making it a horrible date or just walk once he sees she has misrepresented herself! (end edit)

I had two providers last month (one was a provider who advertises here with recent good reviews, the other a BP girl I was just feeling out) sort of freak out. The first I was actually at her incall (her house) and she was VERY guarded, even after I asked... "how would any cop do ANY undercover work if all you had to so was ask? Ooooops, you got me, you asked the Magic Question!" My humor was apparently lost.

Even ECCIE providers buy this myth. I wonder if a provider ever asked, and then got busted to her surprise...

So I now have a rule, if they buy that myth, they aren't worth the time... stupid is as stupid asks.
