Thanks so much for thinking of the victims.... my hubby lost a coworker and her baby in the tornado and now the husband is so worried about how he is going to afford a funeral for his wife and only baby... so sad! My hubby has a friend on the East Coast whose company was going to send a HUGE shipment to Japan, but has since had it sent to Joplin after reading his FB post about the tragedy....

It is so nice to see people helping fellow people! No matter what the circumstances we go through in life we, as human beings, ALL have feelings and simply want to be able to survive to the next day. I guess my background in sociology has me a little more empathetic than some others, but it really hit home knowing people who have died in this terrible storm.

Again, THANKS A SHITTON, GIRLS!!!!!

Great idea, I have family in Joplin, all safe, thank goodness. Red Cross only accepting money, no clothes or food/water, cost too much for them to ship it. Glad to see all the support shown, every little bit counts.

Sydney,

I have just come home for a short rest from three days of working on a clean up crew. I think it is great that you are trying to organize a clothing drive. If I could ad a thought for you, many of these people have nothing and have nothing to store belongings in. One organization was asking for large plastic containers so people people could store their belongings in.

Mind you some people are living in the red cross shelters and could really use the help but the RC shelters provide a cot and a blanket no clothes nor storage containers. Containers to that they can hold their clothes in and slide under the cot is really nice. Despite their efforts by the RC theft still occurs in the shelters.

I appreciate the job your doing just thought I would add this thought also.
