Party timing poll

Thinking of having another private house party in the near future. One of the things I'd like to get some feedback is whether a weekend or weeknight party is generally preferable. I know there are some guys who just can't get away on the weekend, but there's no doubt that say a Monday night party like I've had in the past may have implications for work. So here are the options:

Weeknight is easier to get away from the house. Weekend is harder because the family wants to hang out

any thoughts ever of an afternoon get together say 1 / 2 pm. make things easier for married guys or those from buffalo or syracuse. i will never make one of these but an afternoon im in. just a thought

When it's been a hobbyist only hosted gig, there is no cover. The last couple over the summer were at a provider's house so a small cover seemed fair. This would be back in the more historical setting....
