ISO:Employment for provider outside the hobby

As most of you know I am ready to retire from the hobby. Though Ive been searching and searching for a job....it kinda seems like the only way to get back into the "reg" job field is to do waitressing or door-to-door sales. Though I have experiences in sales/marketing....having 8-9 months of no work history kinda puts a glitch on my record. Do any of you know of someone that is hiring and doesnt dig too deep into someone's record/past???I would like something stable or at least enough time to get some new work experience in like personal assistant or something like that. please pm me or email me at maria.goddess19@gmail.com if you have something.

You should try to get a job in car sales! They don't try and dig into your past. The money is pretty good and can be great. A lot ofplaces will pay you a guarantee until they train you. Just go to the closest one to where you live. Guarantee they'll hire you because most places will hire anyone. lol
Hey if she was the salesperson that came out trying to sell me a car I guarantee I would buy it.

I've heard that getting a license to be a real estate agent isn't too difficult, time-consuming, or expensive. If you lack other relevant work experience, consider using your current skills in a sales environment as others have suggested. Most of the skills of a provider of your caliber would translate well to sales.

Good luck.

I'd consider providing until the market improves. I know someone (a lady friend) whom was laid off three months ago and cannot find any work in the medical billing and collections field at all, which she's done for 15 years, I think is what she told me. She's tried branching off into other related medical jobs and without an RN degree is having no luck. And no, I cannot suggest she take up providing.
Have you considering dancing or waitressing at the clubs? (Not waitressing at Chili's). Maybe medical device or pharmaceutical sales?

I'd love to see you sometime, I honestly have never run across your ad. So I am sorry to see you retiring anyway.

What kind of experience do you have?
Maria, I used to see these hot girls offering liquor samples at liquor stores...Centennial has them. Don't know who hires them; don't think it's the store but you could ask the manager or do a search. Met you recently and you have the personality for it. And you definitely qualify in the hotness category!

Maria,

Having a hole in your work record is not as big a deal as it once was. There are numerous ways to create a legit cover.

When I was recovering from some medical issues, I simply "started my own business" and tried to sell it as to why I was not working for another firm. Although you are much younger, you can always simply say you wanted to know what it was like to be your own boss making cookies or being a nanny or anything else that might pay in cash.

Actually you need to be careful how you set it up, one of my claims is something I still do on the side and it brings in a certain amount of cash whenever I bother to market.

Was there a family situation where you can say that you had to stop working to help your mom or sibling but that they are all better now and you need to get back to the workforce?

Don't put anything on your resume too fancy or that can be checked out by calling someone.

Getting back into the straight workforce can be a tough one right now unless you have a degree and some actual experience in what you want to do but you might also want to see about taking a couple classes at a local community college to get back into the setting of learning on a daily basis.

Hope this helps.
ok....sorry im just getting to this thread so let me see if i can answer all of you guys' questions. Lets see....I have most of my sales/customer service experience from working as a waitress either in a night club or restaurant. But Im sorry...Im about to be 25 and dont want to get back into that environment!!!! That is why Im looking for a more stable, mature job. I know it might sound crazy coming from a provider because some of them might just say it. But honestly the way I got into this business was from when I worked as a cocktail waitress in night clubs. I had VIP clients that would want some fun afterwards and did such a good job that they always came back for me. Then someone told me about this site and p411 and the rest is history. But as some of you know I act and conduct my business differently than some providers. The reason why is due to how I got into this business. I didnt know anything about rates/times/incall/outcall stuff....for one thing I already had a job so it was just extra money to me. Also most of these clients I would see after I got off work at 3am so basically end up being an "overnight" thing.

Anyway....my thing is....the last couple of years have just been a blur...Ive worked basic waitressing jobs and even did the strip club dancing thing for awhile when i moved here. most of my real work experience was from over 3 years ago and who wants someone like that lol. The only thing I have going for me is getting past the application and getting into an interview. Once the interview is done, a person can really tell why type of person I am and how I really would work my ass off just to prove myself!!!

As far as the sales thing....yea it would be something easy to jump into...just with the econonmy I dont see a lot of people running out buying luxury cars like they use to. Im looking at the bigger picture and focusig on a job that can let me be in it for a long time. To be able to continue school, finish my degrees, and hopefully just move up in the company. I def. do NOT want to end up back here. Not that there's anything wrong with this hobby...its just hard to keep two different lives and to keep up with all my lies i tell everyone. I try to just be honest with people but not everyone is as open as we are on the board. So there are times I have so many made up stories I cant keep track of them lol. And Im just a firm believer that at a point in which "easy money" becomes more of a issue/problem in my life....its time for me to just go find a "reg job" and just be at least happy im living a legit life.

I really do appreicate everyone's help from suggestions,to letting me use you as a job reference....really proves to me that the hobby is not all that bad. That there can be some nice people in the hobby that truely care about you!!!Yall are awesome....and yes i did say yall lol
Do you have a salary or hourly figure in mind ?
lol....at this point ill take anything. just as long as it stable with a good company. and I would prefer full time hours

Maria PM me and we can chat. I know of several companies that are hiring in growth industries. Benefits and advancement are available even if you have no formal degree (street smarts is actually more important, as well as the ability to interact with people). It is sales and base pay/commission based As long as you have a somewhat clean background gaps in work history are not significantly questioned.
