A hacker, a perfectly reasonable and believable explanation until you hear him trying to fend off a CNN reporter's questions, trying to change the subject in a way that came off as possibly evasive.
Then we find out notorious fake-scandal impresario Andrew Brietbart is involved, at which point people say "Well never mind, then. Why didn't you say so in the first place instead of wasting everybody's time?"
